Accessibility Statement

Making Abridge usable for everyone

Last updated: June 2026 · Version 1.0

We want everyone who uses Abridge — on our website, in the app, and in our spreadsheet add-ins — to be able to do what they need without unnecessary barriers. This statement explains our approach, what we are working on, and how to tell us if something is not working for you.

1. Our commitment

Abridge is provided by !Abridge Tax Ltd, registered in England & Wales (No. 16092999). We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA where practicable for our website and web application.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-off checklist. We consider it when we design new screens, fix bugs, and review changes to the product.

2. What we do

In practice, that includes:

  • Using semantic HTML and clear heading structure on our marketing pages and in the app where we control the markup.
  • Providing a skip link to main content and labelling interactive controls for keyboard and screen reader users.
  • Designing with sufficient colour contrast and not relying on colour alone to convey important information.
  • Testing key flows with keyboard navigation and assistive technologies as we develop and improve the product.
  • Fixing accessibility issues we find or that you report, in line with our normal development priorities.

3. Known limitations

Some parts of Abridge depend on third-party platforms we do not fully control:

  • Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets — our add-ins run inside those environments. Their accessibility features and limitations apply alongside ours.
  • HMRC— when you sign in or complete steps on HMRC's own websites, their accessibility applies.
  • Payment (Stripe) — card entry uses Stripe's hosted forms.

We are a small team building a specialised product. You may still encounter areas that are difficult to use with assistive technology or on certain devices. If you do, please tell us (see below) so we can improve.

4. Feedback and contact

If you have difficulty using any part of Abridge, or if you need information in a different format (for example, large print or a reasonable adjustment to how we communicate with you), please contact us:

Please include the page or feature you were using, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you use if you can. We aim to respond within 5 working days.

5. Enforcement procedure

If you are not happy with how we respond to your accessibility concern, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS):

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018. Those regulations do not apply to us as a private company, but we publish this statement in the same spirit of transparency.

6. Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared in June 2026. It was last reviewed on the date shown at the top of this page. We will update it when we make significant accessibility improvements or learn of issues that affect users.
